The term “sustainability” is used in a myriad of ways, from referring to the economy, to the environment, to our social systems. However, true sustainability is interdisciplinary and encompasses all these aspects – we cannot have one component without the others. Redesigned, more locally based food systems are gaining traction globally as a starting point for ensuring sustainability. Attend this workshop to discover why they are such a valuable starting point, and the variety of ways in which food systems are currently being integrated into societies both globally, locally, and even here on campus.
